EGLS Library

The EGLS Library

Time to collect any books, DVDs or CDs checked out over the summer and return to us so others may enjoy them. You will be able to self-check-out and check-in any of our materials while a student at EGLS. The library is open during school hours on Saturday. We need volunteers to wheel the book carts into the hallway before and after classes - a task that only takes a few minutes. Ideally, you would commit for a month. Also, if you have any German children's books, DVDs or CDs to donate, please do! We are always looking for new material, particularly children's board books and DVDs. "Not seen at Seattle Opera for 23 years, Humperdinck's impressive adaptation of the iconic Grimm story has been an international favorite since its premiere. With refreshing humor and Wagnerian orchestration, this atmospheric fable explores universal themes of poverty, peril, and bravery, culminating in happiness for all – save for one very bad witch!"
The opera will be sung in German with English subtitles at McCaw Hall in Seattle. More information about the opera can be found at the Seattle Opera website at http://www.seattleopera.org/on-stage/hansel-and-gretel/
